Service Description

Our CANN 101 Workshop offers an in-depth introduction to cannabis, covering its history, different strains, methods of consumption, potential benefits and risks, legal aspects, and responsible use. Participants learn about the various compounds in cannabis, such as THC and CBD, and gain insights into the medical, adult-use, and industrial applications of the plant. The workshop also addresses safety considerations, local regulations, and ways to engage with cannabis knowledgeably and responsibly. Every CANN 101 is followed by a 30 minute open Q & A discussion. Providing a platform for participants to ask follow up questions and engage in more in-depth cannabis related topics. COURSE LEARNING OBJECTIVES: - Students will understand the historical uses of cannabis across cultures, explore the timeline of legalization and the current legal status in various regions - Students will appreciate the cultural factors that have influenced the perception of Cannabis and examine its role in popular media - Students will understand what cannabis is and its different forms, as well differentiate between the main species and understand the nuances between medicinal and adult-use Cannabis - Students will be able to describe several consumption methods and the pros and cons of each including: onset, duration & potential health risks - Students will explore the potential benefits of Cannabis use on mental and physical health, how to reduce harm via ethical use, and briefly discuss medicine interactions - Students will be introduced to industry advocacy efforts and the local/national organizations doing the work to advance access. **THIS COURSE IS HELD AT GORILLA UNIVERSITY IN LOS ANGELES, CA @4241 CRENSHAW BLVD.**
